Everyone, I’d like you to meet Baby Vaeda!

After 68 days in the NICU, this little warrior busted out and is finally home! Her amazing parents, Erica and Tad, have been her rock through it all.

We are thrilled to announce that we’ll be starting a blog to follow Vaeda through all her milestones — and we’ll be celebrating each one in a big way! Erica and Tad have graciously agreed to let us share in their daughter’s incredible journey.

I’ve never met Erica before this, and if I had passed her on the street, I wouldn’t have known her. She called me last minute for a baby sign, and I couldn't say no! I’ve also never written a blog before — but God put this crazy, beautiful idea on my heart: to offer free sign set-ups for Vaeda’s special moments all the way through elementary school. When I reached out to ask, I had no idea the challenges this sweet girl had been facing over the past two months.

Vaeda was born with bilateral vocal cord paresis and needed a trach to help her breathe. But this girl is a fighter. We believe her story is going to be an amazing one, and I could not be more excited to watch her bloom.

Here’s to Vaeda’s next chapter — and to celebrating every beautiful step along the way!
